Hate setting up eSIMs? Gemini might soon do it for you (APK teardown)

• A new SIM Manager connector for Gemini has appeared on a Pixel 9 running the Android 17 QPR3 beta, likely by accident.
• It lets Gemini set up a new eSIM, convert a physical SIM to an eSIM, transfer profiles, restore them from a backup, and delete them.
• The connector’s details page also shows the rules Gemini follows, including several things it won’t do, like turning on an eSIM you’ve already installed.

Gemini can already work with a long list of apps on your phone, from Gmail to YouTube Music. Now it looks like Google wants its AI assistant to help with something a lot less exciting but much more annoying — setting up your eSIM.
